This past weekend, we went to Sarasota, St. Petersburg, and Naples, FL.  St. Pete was my favorite.  Pink Martini is absolutely great in concert.  The St. Petersburg Orchestra is very well funded and extremely entertaining.

The weekend before, we did our annual KOA day on Sugarloaf Key.  As I’ve mentioned before, KOA has a free camping day once a year, and we do what we can to take advantage of it.  Snorkeling was great.  We saw a juvenile loggerhead and a large barracuda at the first site.  I love parrotfish.  At the second site, I got sick.  The night before a lengthy boat ride and snorkeling trip, maybe get more than 3 hours of sleep.  And probably don’t drink so much.  The morning of the trip, eat a good breakfast that won’t upset your stomach.  And if you fail at all of the above, at the very least make every possible effort to NOT get saltwater in your stomach.  It will NOT make a positive contribution to the mixture.  Incidentally, if you do get sick in the water, the fish will be thrilled.

I have hardly had time to sit still in the last few weeks.  Aside from when I was preparing to move to FL, I don’t think I’ve ever been this busy for this long.  In fact, I may have already beaten that previous record.  If not, I will by next weekend.  I had my first spanish test today.  My research paper is due on Thursday in English.  Then on the 6th, I have a “novel response” due.  It’s basically a glorified book report.

Now it’s time for me to get back to my research paper.  Glub.
