Ok, Listen, you know I got an 87 Volvo (Ethan), and I love him, but we gotta talk about the problems he has: Leaky windshield, hesitant shifting, impossible door locks, torn up seats, way-faded paint, needs new belts, a few broken pieces here and there, and the gas mileage SUCKS. I think it might just need a big-time tune-up, but I dunno. Maybe they just get crappy gas mileage. (Remember I’m comparing this to the Volkswagen 2.0 engine.)
Anyway, given all that, I’m ready to let the guy go.
Now some of you also know that my fiancee recently got hit by someone who ran a red light. Her rear axle bent, the car was totalled. She got insurance money for the car, and we’re going to sell it on craigslist. So we’re back to a 1-car family, and given the problems with the Volvo, that makes me more than a bit nervous.
Well, I just got the call letting me know that has all changed. We are now the proud owners of a White 1995 Volkswagen Cabrio. (Wolkswagen, according to the ad, actually)
Remember Iris? She was a White 1995 Golf that I lost when I rear-ended a Civic in the weirdest traffic accident I’ve ever been in. I’ve been missing Iris pretty bad since then, and this is just the PERFECT replacement. I couldn’t be happier. Who am I kidding, I was practically jumping out of my SKIN when she called!
LOOK!!!
