I have, actually. I try one from time to time, and am generally frustrated with the results soon, if not immediately.

I suppose it's a good habit, if not annoying, that I never trust my distaste for things. Sometimes, like with yogurt, it pays off and I do come around. Sometimes, like with Java, it hasn't happened... yet.

In the meantime, I've been using Things, for Mac OS X. In fact, it supports Leopard's (10.5's) universal todolist and calendar thing, so it automatically syncs with iCal and something else. Neat! It's especially great now while it's still in Alpha. Why is alpha better than the full release?
It's free!

They also just released the iPhone/Touch version! Not that I have anything to use it on right now. :)

Have you tried java apps recently? They've gotten a lot cleaner than they were 5-10 years ago. Give ThinkingRock a try. You may like it.
