A lot has happened in the last week. I gave up a LOT of foods. I added a few back. I tried some things out. I upset my stomach. My hands healed significantly.
The diet continues, but it is less restrictive. I have allowed wheat, for instance. And I’ve had a couple of sweets. Right now, I’m enjoying a delicious glass of whiskey. Still no corn. I’m also trying to avoid the nightshades (tomato, potato, eggplant, and – I read somewhere – spinach?) The sugar thing went really poorly, too, so I’m cutting that back out (for the most part).
Oh, I had coffee, too. It was terrible. So that’s excellent. I’m still drinking Tazo chai at work. It’s caffeine, but it’s less caffeine. So that’s cool. Right?
This coming Saturday, the Boulder Farmer’s Market opens. I’m SUPER excited about that.
And now it’s 11pm. So I’m going to go to bed. You’ve been a great audience.

Amazing what you find when you start playing with your diet, eh?
I looked up nightshade foods – what’s the lay explanation of the problem with them?
Minor, normally insignificant toxin.
To be honest, I don’t fully understand it, but it’s easy enough to avoid for now. :)
