No Red Tape

Problem 1: Bright minds often have trouble with what they see as arbitrarily imposed restrictions.

Problem 2: (More) bright minds don’t work for you because you have red tape (who doesn’t?) which those bright minds see as restrictions.

Problem 3: No restrictions within your company would be pure mayhem.

Problem 4: Bright minds are competing against you, taking your business and/or keeping your legal team busy with patent disputes and the like.

Problem 5: Bright minds are not creating the brilliance that they could be; they lack the resources.

Solution:
Hire the bright minds. Tell them explicitly what resources you can afford them. Encourage the creativity to overcome the limitations (that are not arbitrary because you have explained them all.) Let them work unencumbered. Shop from their completed products and rule the marketplace.
